There is a new activity in La Pedrera (The Quarry), perhaps Antoni Gaudí’s most extravagant creation. Under the title La Pedrera Secreta you can now visit the colossus at Passeig de Gràcia at night. Led by a narrator you wander through the spaces and discover the secrets hidden in what is officially called Casa Milà, built for Pere Milà – who paid its construction with the money his wife Roser had inherited from her first husband. An audiovisual presentation takes you back to the daily life of the Milà family. Once you arrive on the roof with the famous chimneys, you will be given a musical surprise. And of course your visit ends in Catalan style with a cool glass of cava.
La Pedrera Secreta. The tour is available in the following languages: Catalan, Spanish, German, English, French and Italian. Other languages on request. Advance booking is recommended. Reservations can be made via reservaslapedrera@oscatalunyacaixa.com and the website La Pedrera. On the site you will also find current information about opening hours and admission prices.
